America’s Adrienne Lyle on Salvino Posts Career Second Highest Score in World Dressage Championships Freestyle

HERNING, Denmark, Aug. 11, 2022–America’s double team silver medal partnership of Adrienne Lyle and Salvino posted their second highest career score in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the World Dressage Championships Wednesday night.

Adrienne of Wellington, Florida and the 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion scored 83.704% with two of the seven judges awarding more than 80% for a total that was surpassed only by 85.580% at a CDI4* in Wellington last March to set a record for the Global Dressage Festival. The lowest mark was 75.750% from American Anne Gribbons.

The U.S. squad that included her student Katie Duerrhammer and Quartett, Tryon and Tokyo team mate Steffen Peters on Suppenkasper and Ashley Holzer on Valentine achieved their primary goal of qualifying a team for the Paris Olympics in 2024 by placing in the top six in Herning.

Adrienne, the only American in the Freestyle, described the ride on Salvino as “really incredible” before 10,000 spectators under flood lights in the sold-out soccer stadium.
