Australia’s Simone Pearce Completes Comeback on Destano With Win in Motesice World Cup Freestyle.

MOTESICE, Slovakia, Nov. 4, 2023–Australia’s Simone Pearce completed her comeback on Destano Saturday winning the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle.

Simone and the 16-year-old Hanoverian stallion were awarded 79.510–two scores above 80%–for the musical performance a day after winning the Grand Prix.

This competition was the first for the pair since April 2022. Simone recently completed arrangements with the Sprehe stud, her former employer, to resume competition with Destano that she had ridden on the Australian team at the Tokyo Olympics.

Simone, based in Germany, rides in the World Cup Western European League so points earned here are carried over to WEL.

As in the Grand Prix, Swiss riders placed second and third.
