Floats, boats urgently needed at Yulong

Yulong Stud is urgently seeking floats, boats and other key water equipment as it battles riding flood waters to evacuate its horses.

The central Victorian town of Mangalore, near Nagambie, is one of a number dealing with flooding following a significant rain event this week.

The floats and boats are crucially needed to help move horses that are stuck in rising flood waters.

Yulong's Sam Fairgray described the current situation as "pretty dire".

"Water is still flowing back into the farm. It's halfway across the property," Fairgray told RSN927.

"We are asking anyone that's got a dingy in the area with an outboard, if you have a wetsuit, a life vest, if you could please bring it to Grenada Rd, Magalore.
