Learn more about the fences used for the World Championships

The fences used in the world championship course at ECCO FEI World Championships have been produced with a focus on beautiful design and high quality of the materials. The obstacles are build using material like recyclable birch plywood, recyclable fir wood, water-based paint etc.

There are both the classical sponsored fences, as well as a series of themed fences, focusing on sights and symbols from Denmark.

The Trolls

Denmark is the land of the trolls! Those droll little creatures really do originate in Denmark, the original Troll was designed in 1959 by Thomas Dam.

The Swans

The Mute Swan, native to Denmark, as well as the National Bird of Denmark. The popularity of the swan is often connected the role of the swan in the fairytale “The Ugly Duckling” by Danish poet and author Hans Christian Andersen.
