McDermott in hot form at Waratah Warm-Up Weekend

Waratah Showjumping has held a three-day warm up show over the weekend, in preparation for it’s World Cup Show next weekend, with both shows being held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre (SIEC). Jumping was held on three arenas on Friday and Saturday, with just the main indoor arena used for height classes on Sunday.

The highlight of the weekend was the 1.50m Grand Prix, won in style by Tom McDermott and his stallion Cachassini II, beating himself and Alpha Activity into second. Third place went to Amanda Madigan and Diamond B Vivienne. Amber Fuller filled both fourth and fifth spots with her up and coming star Nopal Van Tallaert in fourth and in fifth, a pick-up ride on Upper Class Z, usually ridden by Amelia Douglass who is currently overseas.
