Trainer fined $4000 over cocaine horse positives

A trainer who claimed backpacking stable employees could be behind the cocaine positives of two of his horses has been fined $4000 by stewards.

The horses who produced the cocaine positive swabs have also been disqualified from wins earlier this year.

Queensland trainer Phil Bobic had pleaded guilty at an earlier stewards' inquiry to two presentation charges relating to AR240 (2) involving Sonic Arrow's win at Toowoomba on June 10 and Sennachie's victory at Gatton on June 24.
