Winx's mum produces Winx clone

Peter O'Brien has seen the first steps of thousands of foals, but only one has sprung to its feet as swiftly as Winx's half-sister, who was born just after 11am on Tuesday.

That was Winx herself.

"Honestly, and this is God's honest truth, Winx leapt up straight away and this foal (did too)," said O'Brien, the long-time studmaster at Segenhoe Stud.

"She literally just sprung up and stood straight away and I've only honestly seen that once before, which was with Winx.

"Whether there's anything to it, I certainly hope so."
