Winx to become a mum

On the eve of this weekend's Winx Stakes, connections of the champion mare whom the race is named after have provided an update on her pregnancy journey.

According to her owners, the four-time Cox Plate-winning superstar of the turf is due to give birth to her first foal in coming weeks, after she visited stallion Pierro last spring.
