Yarrie stockwoman Lydia Inglis returns to muster, two years on from freak accident

Lydia Inglis was always determined to return to the scene of her accident, but she did not expect it to take two years.

The 28-year-old stockwoman had to learn how to walk and talk again, after falling off her horse in a freak mustering accident in the Pilbara in August 2020.

She has now travelled from her home in New Zealand to return to Yarrie Station, and reached one of her goals of taking part in the 2022 cattle muster.

"In my mind, coming back to Yarrie was always going to happen," she said.

"Initially I thought I was going to be back six months after the accident because I didn't quite comprehend what had actually happened to me.
