1. Horses!

Without my beautiful horses, I wouldn’t be able to compete.

2. My saddles!

For both dressage and jumping my Bates saddles are my lifesavers! I have always struggled with my position, and without my trusty saddles I would not be able to ride to my max ability.

3. All my personal gear.

My Freejump Top boots, my Samshield helmets, my Samshield jackets, my full seat grip white jods and comp shirts.

4. Muesli, fruit and milk.

This is probably my favourite food. I will eat it for breakfast and lunch while at a horse show.

5. TRM Bioactive.

This product is a must-have of mine, especially during a three-day event. I will give this to my horses the morning of cross country, as it helps give them energy and stamina, which is essential for the cross country phase.

6. Cross country boots.

The Weatherbeeta Pro-tec event boots are my favourite and I think very essential as they don’t slip nor rub my horse’s legs.

7. Air vest and back protector.

A very important part of cross country is to be protected. These two items I wear make me feel safe, which is very important for my nerves before a big cross country track.

8. Cross country watch and whip.

Without my watch, I wouldn’t be very competitive as I would have no idea how fast I’m going or how slow. I do have a lucky whip which is blue — my cross country colour.

9. Noise-cancelling ear bonnet.

I find this a very good item as one of my horses doesn’t love loudspeakers. So for his best performance, these are a must-have.

10. Ice boots!

After cross country, it is in my best interest that my horses recover well and are feeling their best after a long cross country run.
