Apprentice's dream comes true after horror fall

After a horror fall in 2019 surgeons told Shanae O’Meara she was lucky to be alive and said she’d never ride a horse again.

Scans revealed a skull fracture and the aspiring apprentice was kept in a coma in ICU for almost a week at the Alfred Hospital, before two weeks on the Royal Melbourne’s Neurology Ward and three-months recovering at the Epworth Rehabilitation Centre.
