Australia’s Rozzie Ryan & Jarrah R win Boneo World Cup Pacific League Final

BONEO, Australia, Jan. 27, 2019–Australia’s Rozzie Ryan and her homebred Jarrah R won the World Cup Pacific League Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to earn a start at the global championship final in Gothenburg, Sweden in April.

Rozzie and the 13-year-old gelding were awarded a personal best score of 72.710 per cent to capture the single starting place awarded to the Pacific League.

Jarrah H was bred by Rozzie and her husband, Heath Ryan, by their stallion Jive Magic out of a Salute mare.

The pair have competed at Big Tour on Australia’s East Coast for the past three years, but until this week had never logged a CDI victory in more than 40 Grand Prix starts.

Rozzie rode at the inaugural World Equestrian Games in Stockholm in 1990 and the World Cup Final in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands in 2008.

Holly Cutler on the Australian-bred Diva Royale, 13-year-old Oldenburg mare, placed second on 68.695 per cent.

The 2016 Australian Olympic team combination of Sue Hearn and Remmington were third on 68.180 per cent.
