Australian Dressage Championships 2021 Cancelled

Regretfully we advise that Dressage NSW has made the decision to cancel the 2021 Australian Dressage Championships that was to be held from the 14 – 17 October at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre.

After cancelling the event in 2020 we were looking forward to having the opportunity to host the event once again, however COVID-19 makes it impossible. Our commiserations to the riders and connections who have been working towards taking part in the Championships and to those whose aspirations have been quashed due to the pandemic, we share your disappointment.

We sincerely thank the Sponsors & State Dressage Committees who committed to support the event, and we acknowledge the funding made available from Equestrian NSW.

Stay safe. Toni Venhaus
Event Director – 2021 Australian Dressage Championships On behalf of Dressage NSW

The EADC understands and fully supports the Organising Committee of the 2021 Australian Dressage Championships. Their decision to cancel the Championships is inevitable as COVID-19 continues to disrupt all aspects of our lives, to some extent across Australia.

We will get through this and yes, there will be a return to whatever ‘normal’ competition will look like as we all work our way through this pandemic. Dressage is all about patience and perseverance- keep safe everyone and keep building the partnership with your horses.

The Olympics has shown us how goals can be achieved, despite interruptions and sudden changes to plans!
