Country show committees struggle with decision to cancel or not amid coronavirus restrictions

Several agricultural show committees have made the difficult decision to cancel their annual shows, while some have decided to go ahead despite uncertainty around coronavirus restrictions.

Normally the Wangaratta and Shepparton agricultural shows would be on the same weekend in October but this year only the Shepparton Show will be held, after Wangaratta cancelled its event.

Many country show committees faced the same decision as the show season approached, wondering if it was viable to hold their events this year.
