Darren Weir ineligible for retrospective winnings

Disqualified trainers Darren Weir and Lee and Shannon Hope will be ineligible for retrospective prizemoney in races in which they were beaten by illegally doped Aquanita runners.

Racing Victoria on Tuesday afternoon revealed it had written to the owners of 81 Aquanita runners requesting that they show cause as to why their horse should not be disqualified from races in which there was little doubt the horses were administered with performance-enhancing substances.
