Dollard's emotional surprise visit

The tears welled up in Mick Dollard's eyes as he reached out to give his horse a pat.

It was a moment he never thought he'd have after earlier this month being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

But Tuesday morning's surprise visit was the perfect uplift for a long-term horse lover and his family, who are doing it tough.

"It was a very touching morning," Dollard's daughter Kylie Yule said.

"(Dad) was diagnosed on September 2 with cancer of the liver, lungs and kidneys. They found out it was too aggressive to do anything about it, but Dad's view is he's had 78 great years with us four kids, grandkids, great grandkids.
