Germany Leads at Midway in Wellington Nations Cup, Small Tour Horses Hold Off Grand Prix Bonuses

WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 17, 2021–Two dominating Small Tour performances gave Germany the lead over the United States midway through the Global Dressage Festival Nations Cup Wednesday to kick off the 2021 trans-Atlantic series.

Frederic Wandres on Quizmaster with 74.765% and the U.S.-based Kevin Kohmann on Five Star with 74.177% in the Prix St. Georges set Germany up for the lead with Christoph Koschel on Eaton Unitechno receiving a personal best 72.891% for the Grand Prix that was given a 1.5% bonus and a team result of 223.333.

The United States team of all Big Tour horses–Adrienne Lyle on Harmony’s Duval with 73.935%, Benjamin Ebeling on Illuster van de Kampert with 72.152% and Jennifer Williams on Millione with 71.783%–each received the 1.5% bonus and a team total of 222.370
