Isbister ignites WA State Jumping Championships

Last weekend saw the Western Australian State Jumping Championships conducted at the beautifully prepared grounds of the Serpentine Horse and Pony Club, about 60 km south of the Perth CDB. The championships were held under clear skies in warm sunny conditions. With the temperatures nudging 30 degrees on Sunday, it was enough for riders to be permitted to leave their jackets off, however, it was still much more comfortable than the scorching conditions that prevailed last year.

With three rings in action over 3 days of competition over 60 classes were decided, with rails starting from 60cm on arena 3, all the way up to the around 1.40m for the State Senior Title sponsored by Drive Straight Brake and Alignment Service. The feature class on Saturday was the Gaenor McInnes Memorial for horses 40 points and under.
