Jessica von Bredow-Werndl & Dalera Win Salzburg World Cup Freestyle, Beating Isabell Werth & Weihegold

SALZBURG, Austria, Jan. 24, 2021–Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and TSF Dalera BB won the Amadeus Horse Indoor World Cup Freestyle Sunday to beat Isabell Werth and Weihegold that posted their lowest international musical performance result since their first freestyle five years ago.

The score of 87.960% for Jessica and the 14-year-old Trakehner mare gave the pair, ranked No. 3 in the world, only the second victory over Isabell and Weihegold, the previous time being at the Stuttgart, Germany World Cup event in November 2019.

Isabell and Weihegold, 16-year-old Oldenburg mare, No. 2 in the world behind Isabell and Bella Rose, scored 84.720%, the lowest freestyle result since 83.450% posted in Amsterdam in January, 2016 that was the duo’s first international Freestyle. Isabell and Weihegold have had results of more than 90% in two of the three World Cup titles they have won and are campaigning for an unprecedented fourth straight championship. The 2020 final that was scheduled for Las Vegas was canceled because of Covid-19.
