King Of Leogrance scratched from Cup

The Melbourne Cup field is down to 23 after King Of Leogrance was scratched following a vet's inspection.

Racing Victoria stewards announced the inspection of the Danny O'Brien-trained galloper early on Tuesday morning, with Dr Grace Forbes looking over the horse.

Shortly after confirmed it was confirmed he was out of the race on vet's advice after presenting with lameness in the off foreleg.

The former Adelaide Cup winner was last seen in the Geelong Cup, where he finished third behind Steel Prince.
