Michael Barisone Listed Again as Temporarily Suspended, Month After Not Guilty by Insanity Verdict in Shooting on his New Jersey Farm

Michael Barisone has been placed by SafeSport back on temporary suspension a month after the U.S. Olympic dressage team reserve rider was found not guilty by reason of insanity of two counts of attempted murder.

The 57-year-old Michael is still in custody awaiting a decision by the court on his future after the jury verdict involving the shooting in August 2019 of Lauren Kanarek, a tenant at Michael’s farm, and shooting at her boyfriend, Robert Goodwin.
