Michael Kenyon has toured with the best rodeo riders in the world. Now, he’s touring with their grandchildren.
But he's not a champion bull rider or stock handler — Kenyon follows rodeos as a photographer.
"I began as a motorcar photographer and for various other events," he said.
"I took a random picture of Frank Sinatra in concert once and these two blokes saw it.
"They said, ‘We ride horses, have you ever shot a rodeo?’ That was in 1974."
The two men toured Kenyon through rodeo circuits, monthly rides, and showed him what they were looking for in a picture.
He said they followed a simple rule:
"You're looking for your next best picture."
