Netherlands Win First Ever European Under-25 Championships, Day After Capturing Young Rider Gold

BUDAPEST, Aug. 18, 2020–The Netherlands won both the European Championships Under-25 team gold Tuesday, a day after capturing Young Rider gold. Germany placed second in both events, the first loss ever of gold in U25. Denmark took bronze.

Jeanine Nieuwenhuis and TC Athene led the Dutch to the top of the Under-25 podium, placing first individually on 74.765%. This was the fifth continental championship for Jeanine, now 25 years old, and the 15-year-old KWPN gelding. The pair took two individual gold medals in 2019
