'No rush' for Winx to become a mother

Winx will have to wait until 2022 to become a mother, with the champion mare missing this year's breeding window as she recovers from the ordeal of losing her first foal.

Winx remains at her home in the Hunter Valley and, while it can never be determined just how much of an impact the tragedy had on the four-time Cox Plate winner, those close to her are in little doubt she felt the effect more than just physically.
