Riding for the Disabled Oaklands looking for new home after 43 years at Oaklands Hunt Club

Parents are "intensely upset" after a Melbourne horseriding school for people with disabilities suddenly announced they would be homeless after 43 years.

Allison March received an email on Monday that said Riding for the Disabled Oaklands in Melbourne's north west would "cease operations in its current form" next week.

Ms March's 11-year-old son, Tom, who has level 3 autism and is non-verbal, has been riding off and on with the charity since he was two.

"Horseriding is his most favourite thing in the world and being able to go to Riding for the Disabled is amazing," Ms March said.
