Rose Oatley & Daddy Moon Post World Record Pony Team Score to Lead Germany to European Championship Gold, Denmark, Silver, Netherlands Bronze

STRZEGEM, Poland, Aug. 12, 2021–Rose Oatley rode Daddy Moon to a world record pony team score of 82.629% to lead Germany to gold in the European Pony Championships Thursday, with Denmark taking silver and the Netherlands bronze.

The score for 14-year-old Rose and the 11-year-old Rhinelander gelding beat the pair’s previous best of 77.143% in the team competition and surpassed their previous all-time high of 81.400% set in the freestyle at the 2020 Europeans. The previous record of 80.128% was held by Great Britain’s Phoebe Peters on SL Lucci in 2014.

Rose, the daughter of multiple Olympian Kristy Oatley who rides for Australia and lives in Germany, and Daddy Moon have been the world No. 1 pony combination since January of 2020.

Team mates Antonia Roth on Daily Pleasure WE placed second on 78.114%, Julie Sofie Schmitz-Heinen on Carleo GO fourth on 75.429% and Antonia Busch-Kuffner on Katsanienhof Cockney Cracker fifth on 75.286%.
