RV stewards make Aquanita decision

Racing Victoria stewards announced on Tuesday that they will disqualify 72 starters implicated in the Aquanita case but will not chase the owners of those horses for the approximate $1.4 million owed.

RV made the announcement following the stewards' lengthy investigation, which took submissions from the managing owners or representatives of 81 starters tied to the case.

It means RV stewards determined that following their investigation and show-cause process that nine horses would not be disqualified.

One of those not disqualified that was in the initial list of 81 horses is Politeness, who won the Group 1 Myer Classic in 2015.
