Sheedy, Pagan to coach Rapid stars

AFL legends Kevin Sheedy and Denis Pagan have been competitors for more than fifty years and that rivalry is set to continue at Flemington on January 29 when they once again go head to head as the coaches in the second-annual running of Rapid Racing.

With all seven races run down the famous Flemington straight with only 30-minute gaps both coaches say they’ll need to be at their best to secure victory for their star teams.

The Rapid Racing jockey challenge sees Victoria’s top fourteen riders do battle as part of the metropolitan and country teams.

Denis Pagan is once again in charge of the metro team and is hoping to go back-to-back after taking out the win last year against Liam Pickering’s country crusaders.
