Steffen Peters Tops Global Dressage Festival Prize Money, Stays Atop USA Olympic Team Qualifying

WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 1, 2021–Steffen Peters vaulted to the top of the Global Dressage Festival prize money standings with his victory on Suppenkasper in the CDI5* Grand Prix Freestyle while also staying atop the U.S. Olympic rankings.

Steffen of San Diego, California has earned a total of $39,300 after four of seven CDIs in the winter-long Global lineup at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, according to results compiled by dressage-news.com. The CDI5* prize money boosted him past fellow Californian Günter Seidel whose winnings on Equirelle totaled $25,600.

Steffen and Suppenkasper are atop the U.S. Olympic standings with an average of 76.745% in the Grand Prix Special, the scores that the U.S. Equestrian Federation count as the Special will determine team medals at Tokyo.

Yvonne Losos De Muñiz of the Dominican Republic is third on the prize money standings with $24,450.
