The Saut Hermès returns: the equestrian world's chicest jumping event is back

Zosia Mamet, Lady Alice Manners and Otis Ferry were in attendance

At Hermès, 24 Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré is an address of historical importance. It's been the Parisian brand's home since 1880, when Charles-Émile Hermès succeeded his father Thierry and moved the family's business to a new location. And it's also here, in the city's centre, that Hermès' team of expert makers over many working hours perfect leather saddles for horse riding – and jumping or dressage, to be precise.

A skill that requires two years of training, saddle-making also sits at heart of Hermès, a business that can be traced back to 1837, when Thierry Hermès debuted a line of new harnesses, innovative for the consideration they paid to the horse's comfort and wellbeing. And Hermès' saddlery continued to be best in show from then on, including in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics when two riders, each on saddles made on Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré, placed on the podium, winning gold and bronze medals in both dressage and jumping.
