Two Australian sporting legends will be among just 10 Australians invited to the Queen's funeral

Champion horse trainer Chris Waller and Australian of the year Dylan Alcott are believed to be among the Australians invited to Queen Elizabeth's funeral.

Mr Waller, who is best known for training the recording-breaking mare Winx, was in weekly contact with her Majesty leading up to her death on Thursday, aged 96

The Queen had a passion for thoroughbred horse racing and has one her horses, Chalk Stream, in Mr Waller's stable.
