Winx runs sixth in Rosehill barrier trial return

The World's best horse on turf Winx has finished midfield in the first barrier trial of her autumn at Rosehill on Monday.

Golden Rose winner Trapeze Artist won the trial ahead of Classic Uniform and Comin' Through.

But all eyes were on Winx. The champion mare has won 22 consecutive races and lays claim to the majority of the more than $28 million in prizemoney won by the nine horses that ran in the barrier trial.

She settled back and worked to the line well without jockey Hugh Bowman exposing her or asking for any real effort. She finished just behind Victoria Derby winner Ace High, two lengths from Trapeze Artist.

The Everest winner Redzel led to the turn before being allow to coast to the line, finishing seventh.
