World's best gear up for iconic Longines Global Champions tour of Paris

Big expectations have been set ahead of this week’s Longines Global Champions Tour - Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, as top horse and rider combinations head to the magical city to square up for the sixth leg of the Championship race.

Currently third, fourth and fifth in the LGCT Championship Edwina Tops-Alexander, Ben Maher and Bart Bles all head to Paris this weekend in the hope of leapfrogging first and second on the rankings Peder Fredricson and Scott Brash who are sitting this leg out.

This weekend promises to be a unique sporting, social and cultural spectacular, set once again against the backdrop of one of the world's most iconic landmarks, the Eiffel Tower. Christian Ahlmann is back to defend his title from 2019 while Sameh El Dahan, Julien Epaillard and youngest LGCT Grand Prix winner Bertram Allen are also looking to claim a second title in the LGCT Grand Prix of Paris.

The stars of show jumping will soon arrive in the heart of France, all vying for the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix présenté par la Ville de Paris win. Spectators can expect names such as Roger-Yves Bost, Simon Delestre, Shane Breen, Daniel Bluman, Dani G. Waldman, Alberto Zorzi, Emily Moffitt, Christian Kukuk, Nayel Nassar, Darragh Kenny, Eric van der Vleuten, Mark McAuley, Ellen Whitaker, Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Frank Schuttert to name just a few.

One of the most visited cities in the world, Paris is brimming with famous attractions and landmarks. Fans can enjoy world-class show jumping in the heart of the ‘International City of Style’, against one of the most recognisable landmarks in the world.

This weekend well-known equestrian Thierry Rozier will be the french commentator on GCTV. Tune in for expert commentary, exclusive rider interviews and all the world-class action.
