Young and Bribbaree riders great day at Harden Gymkhana

A huge congratulations goes out to riders from both Young and Bribbaree Pony Clubs who all had a fantastic day in the saddle on Sunday at the Harden Pony Club Gymkhana.

Four riders from Young followed up on their success at last weekend's Young Pony Club closed gymkhana by winning age champion at the Harden Gymkhana.

Erin Ferry won 15 and Under 17 champion and B Grade showjumping, Mikayla Spring took out the age champion in 13 and Under 15, Sophia Hackett won age champion 9 and Under 11 and Kirralea Porter won age champion for Under 9.

Joining in on the success taking out many events Blair Porter and Zailee Coupland.

Levi Clark and his horse Hermione came home with a huge stash of ribbons as well in the assisted classes.

From Bribbaree Zara Hewson won the D Grade Showjumping, Amy Caldwell won the 12 years dressage, Ellie Burnett won a stack of ribbons in sporting, Jess Taylor also cleaned up in the sporting as well as in the show ring as did Millie Taylor.

Sophie Grainger picked up ribbons of all colours in the show ring with her new and young horse.

With very strict COVID-19 restrictions around community sport still in place the competition was restricted to clubs only within the Zone 2 area and capped at 60 riders.

Riders started off the day with a parade where the clubs were judged on their presentation and the winner awarded the Bernie Minougue Perpetual Trophy. Canowindra were the winner.

Riding classes started with two rings running and dressage in between classes before showjumping and sporting.
