Driver, horses die after head-on collision on Great Eastern Highway near Binduli

A man and several horses have died after a ute collided with a truck on the Great Eastern Highway on Tuesday night

The crash happened about 10.24pm last night in Binduli, about 10 km west of Kalgoorlie. Police said a Mitsubishi Triton ute and a truck towing a horse float with 15 horses collided head-on.

The male driver of the truck was not seriously injured and was taken to Kalgoorlie Hospital.

Tragically, the male driver of the Triton died at the scene.
