Equestrian Australia building relations with Asia

Australian equestrian coach educators have the opportunity to travel to Malaysia to train aspiring local coaches and enhance the technical prowess of their current equestrian coaches utilising the high-quality coaching resources provided by Equestrian Australia.

A Memorandum of Understanding between Equestrian Australia (EA) and the Malaysian Equine Council (MEC) provides the framework for the program and it is hoped it will open doors to further opportunities across Asia.

"This relationship is a wonderful endorsement of the quality of the EA Coaching Program and our strategy for the development of equestrian coaches," said Equestrian Australia CEO, Paula Ward.

"We are very pleased to be able to assist in improving the coaching standards in Malaysia. Our relationship with the MEC is an important one and it provides a potential blueprint to build further relationships with other Equestrian nations across Asia."

The MOU signed at the weekend is a two-year extension of an existing six-year relationship between EA and the MEC.

The MEC will begin rolling out the new EA Coaching Pathway from February 2018.
