Horse shot dead - Burra - disgraceful act!!!

Monaro Police District Rural Crime Investigators are investigating the shooting of a 7 month old thoroughbred filly (depicted) at a rural property at Burra during the afternoon of Sunday 29th April 2018.

The filly was in a paddock with it's mother when it was shot dead at close range with what appears to be a high powered rifle.

Investigations so far have led police to believe this was a deliberate act.

Police are calling for any members of the community who have any information no matter how insignificant to come forward to assist with this investigation.

Police are particularly interested to know if anyone saw any suspicious vehicles in the Burra area on Sunday.
