Jane Savoie Passed Away

American dressage rider, trainer, clinician and author Jane Savoie passed away in the morning of 4 January 2021 after a long and brave battle against melanoma cancer. She was 71 years old.

Massachusetts

Savoie was born in 1949 and raised in Natick, Massachusetts, USA. She studied at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and held a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science (Animal). Jane started riding at the age of 9, first on ponies and then hunters. She evented through college and finally found her niche in dressage in 1976 when she relocated to Vermont and ran the riding program at the Vershire School Stable from 1976 – 1980.
