Melbourne Cup 2021 Scratchings: Future Score ruled out

Outsider Future Score ($201) has been scratched from the 2021 Melbourne Cup.

The Matt Cumani-trained 7YO was reported to be showing signs of lameness in his front right leg on Monday.

He was subsequently withdrawn around the close of scratchings on Tuesday morning.

The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Delphi ($19) was also under a cloud on raceday eve, but passed the vet check on raceday.

Future Score races for prominent syndicators OTI Racing, whose luck in the Cup has fallen by the wayside this year.

Amade was another of their hopes, but he bombed the Bendigo Cup start to all but cost himself a spot on the first Tuesday in November.
