Patrik Kittel & Delaunay Win Swedish Championship, 7th National Title for 3-time Olympian

STRÖMSHOLM, Sweden, Sept. 6, 2020–Patrik Kittel rode Delaunay OLD to the Swedish Championship Sunday, the seventh national Grand Prix title for the three-time Olympic rider.

Patrik, based in Germany, and the 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding won the Grand Prix Freestyle on 78.085% after taking the Grand Prix earlier on 75.500%.

Delaunay, on which Patrik is ranked 27th in the world behind Well Done de la Roche on which he is ranked 14th, was the rider’s mount at the 2019 World Cup Final and team bronze at the 2017 European Championships, both in Gothenburg, Sweden as well as his winning national championship partner last year.

Johanna Due Boje on Mazy Klövenhöjing was reserve champion, placing second on 71.826% in the Grand Prix and third on 77.190% in the Freestyle.
