Pedigree stallion Wolf of Wall Street killed in 'heinous' shooting on Burlington Station in Far North Queensland

The owners of a pedigree stallion that was shot in the heart on a Far North Queensland cattle station have expressed shock and devastation over the loss of their beloved horse.

Police are investigating the death of champion stock horse, The Wolf of Wall Street, at the remote Burlington Station near Mount Surprise last month.

Affectionately known as The Wolf, he was purchased by Kelli Thomas and Ray Heslin for $65,000 five years ago and was lauded to be a sire of the future as well as a campdraft champion.
