Photo Competition Encourages Positive Memories

Pony Club Australia continues to support members and Pony Clubs around Australia while they are in various stages of lockdown.

The PCA Youth Advisory Council (YAC) has devised a photo competition for August for members and gained sponsorship to offer great prizes, as a mood lifting exercise for riders and families.

The YAC hopes going through family photos will encourage positive thoughts and happy memories and has the full backing of the PCA Board and management.

The five categories the YAC came up with are Concentration Face, Active Photo, Head Shot, Fancy Dress and GlowUp (a series of two photos showing a transformation of a new or rough looking horse into a shiny, healthy animal through care and attention).

The Youth Advisory Council is a consultative forum for PCA to engage with its riding members on matters including the PCA Syllabus, leadership programs and relevant PCA policies. It will also be a training ground for future Pony Club leaders.
