2010 Sydney Royal Easter Show

Alex Hyles from Warwick in Queensland won the class for Junior Lady Rider 17-21 Years.

Wyatt Young from Gloucester in NSW took thrid place in the class for Boy Riders 12-15 Years.

Joanne Prestwidge rode the very well performed Morelli and Prestwidge nomination, 'Janevelyn Jazzman' to win the class for Open Heavyweight Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Tamara Lee from Victoria rode the Lee Family's, 'Wesswood Seduction' to third place in the class for Open Heavyweight Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Brandon Beneke from Pitt Town in NSW rode well to take second place in the class for Boy Rider 15-17 Years.

Rachel Keskinen from Victoria had a super day today. She won the Ida Buring Rinegolde Turnout class (Sydney's answer to the Garryowen) and later in the day won the class for Lady Rider 21-40 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Lady Rider. Rachel and her horse, 'Request' that did actually win the Garryowen with Linda Hayes on board, is pictured with judges, L-R Warren Coyle, Julie Crisp, Karen Hood and Pam Ahern.

Catherine Hughes rode the Hughes Family's, 'Denhue Sugar and Spice' to third place in the strong class for Open Lightweight Galloway 14-14.2hh

Joh Bailey "was amused" and gave the royal wave as he paraded after his Gent's Hack victory with his 'INXS.

Sabrina Durante won the class for Girl Rider 12-15 Years (where do the years go?) and went on to be declared Champion Senior Girl Rider, and award her mother Kim won in 1984 and 1985. Sabrina is pictured aboard 'Regal Winter' that with Kim in the saddle won the class for Open Lightweight Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Melanie Bolwell rode the Dohan, NSW Welsh Ponies, Shine and Bolwell nomination, 'Woranora Cherokee' to third place in the class for Show Hunter Pony N.E. 12hh.

Annabella Drexel from Western Australia rode her beautiful, 'SLM Flirting' to win the very strong Lady's Hack class.

Successful showing rider, Brandon Douglas from Queensland rode the Douglas Family's, 'Kaurah Lodge Showtime' to fourth place in the class for Show Hunter Pony 12-13hh.

Rebekah Bennett turns up the pace with the Moroney/Schulz and Nelson nomination, 'Boronia Scion' to win the class for Show Hunter Pony 12-13hh.

Courtney Christie rode her own and Stephen Merry's beautiful National Champion Small Hack, 'Magnifique' by Bianconi, to with the FL Crane Perpetual Trophy for Mares Showing Thoroughbred Qualities. Interestingly this was the first year that the height stipulation for the Crane was changed from 14.2-15.2hh to 15-16hh.

Bridget Sell is pictured riding Mark Kenzig and Belinda Scanlon's beautiful 'Alkyra Elegance' in the FL Crane class. Later in the day Bridget rode her well performed Hack, Universal Law to win the Class for Lady Rider Over 40 and go on to claim the Champion Lady Rider award.

Katharine Farrell is pictured in full flight with her typey and great working, 'Owendale Lemon Twist' that won the class for Show Hunter Pony 13-14hh. The experienced pony went on to claim the Reed Thoroughbred Stud Perpetual Trophy for Champion Show Hunter Pony, for at least the second time.

At just eight years old, Shilo Harvey did a super job with the Corvan Park Stud and the Harvey Family's 'Corvan Park Miss Attitude' to win the class for Show Hunter Pony N.E. 12hh. The talented young rider went on to take second place in her Rider 6-9 Years class.

Georgia Cooke rode her own and the Redland's Stables', 'Redlands Outrageous' to take second place in the class for Show Hunter Pony 13-14hh and go on to claim the Reserve Champion Show Hunter Pony award.

Trinette Crawford is pictured with Sue Peters and Beaufort Nutrition's, 'Beaufort Fanfare'. The mare, a half sister to Beaufort Legend (both out of Beaufort Bamyan) won the class for Novice Show Hunter Galloway.

For Dale Plumb to have a daughter that loves horses must be a great pleasure; to have a daughter that is a great natural and well schooled talent, must be an absolute delight. Six year old Daizi Plumb won her 6-9 Years Girl Rider class and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Junior Girl Rider. The beginning of a great career no doubt.

Eleven year old Quensland rider, Kira-Lee Newman has won the Junior Girl Rider Championship at Brisbane Royal, Adelaide Royal, Melbourne Royal and now, Sydney Royal. Not a bad effort and no wonder she looks pleased.

Taina Goron did the honours with Linda Crestani's, 'Grand Crest Crusades' (Nascinda's Traditions/Cwmkaren Miss Rachel) that won the class for Welsh Section D Stallion/Colt.

Wendy Allen is on the move with Val, Trevor and Carol Sharwood's charming Welsh D Mare, 'Mirabel Madam' (Snowdonvale Saloman/Hazelmere Vixen' that was declared Best Welsh D Exhibit.

Blake Paulston from Wee Waa in NSW won the class for Boy Rider 9-12 Years and went on to be declared Champion Junior Boy Rider.

Stuart Lavelle rode his sister Sarah's 'Royal Flight of Beckworth' to win the class for Gent's Show Hunter Galloway.

Ryan Johnson-McNeil from Dubbo won the class for Boy Riders 12-15 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Senior Boy Rider.

Annabell Mulready rode her own and Julia McGrath's National Champion Show Hunter Galloway, 'Farleigh Lytton' to win the class for Show Hunter Galloway 14-14.2hh and claim the Show Hunter Galloway Championship.

Melinda de Rooy rode her 'Saradale Crusades' to take out the class for Ladies Show Hunter Galloway14-14.2hh and go on to take out the Show Hunter Galloway Reserve Championship.

Melise Tuma-Webb rode her well performed Australian Stock Horse and Show Hunter Galloway, 'M-J Fortune' to win the class for Show Hunter Galloway 14.2-15hh.

A seemingly delighted, Cody Baird from Woodford in Queensland won the class for Boy Riders 15-17 Years and was declared Champion Senior Boy Rider.
