Horse Ball is described as, "a cross between rugby and basketball". This is a fast paced aggressive game that was invented in France. If they drop the ball, the riders just lean down and pick it up. The idea is to throw the ball from one to another and eventually through the basketball like hoop to score.

Chris Chugg celebrates a good round in his customary way, producing double pirouettes aboard the beautiful 'Vivant'. Chris opted to do five strides from the huge triple bar at 7, changed from the open water for the night time jump, and just dislodged the plank on the 1.60m Starting Gate vertical. The round was certainly good enough for a couple of pirouettes in front of his adoring Australian fans. Chris and Vivant are in 20th place after the three rounds of the Individual competition and Australia finished the Teams Championship in 7th place which was a fantastic effort.

Edwina Alexander jumped a super round yesterday and looked as if she was going tot do a reprise performance today riding the small sensation, 'Cevo Itot Du Chateau'. Sadly it was not to be with the vertical at 12a falling following the difficult four to five stride line from the oxer at eleven and very surprisingly the last fence a 1.90m oxer. The penalties have relegated Edwina and Itot to 21st place. It just goes to prove that even though we think some horses are machines, they prove to be horses after all.

James Patterson-Robinson again produced a good Team round for Australia riding Ger Poels nine year old Diamant de Semilly stallion, 'Niack de L Abbaye'. They lowered 5a and 12a to come home with eight penalties. Australia could very easily have finished further up the rankings had luck been on their side. However at seventh out of 27 Teams Australia has easily qualified for the London Olympics.
