Tom McDermott was named Rupert Metherall Champion Jumping Rider of the Show and won the World Cup Qualifier and with it a full MER (after earning another half at Gaton WC) riding Kerry Langbecker's, 'Alpha Activity'. Last to go, Tom had to go clear and fast and that is exactly what he did.
